TiE´s vision is to empower college-level students to become entrepreneurs. Initiated by Ashok Rao, chairman of TiE Global and board member of Rice University, TiE Delhi-NCR and TiE Brussels decided to challenge the promising young innovators and future entrepreneurs by organizing TiE International Business Plan Competition (TIBPC) in Asia and Europe. The European Finals were held on Friday, February 14th, 2014 in Leuven, Belgium. TiE Brussels is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2014 Edition of the TiE International Business Plan Competition!
The independent jury consisting of Agnès FLEMAL (WSL) , An TANGHE (VOKA), Ludwig GORIS (Capricorn Venture Partners), Martin HINOUL ( KU Leuven), Michaël DE BLAUWE ( Bio Incubator) and Slim SEDIRI (WSL) deliberated to select the 4 best winners.
The winners of the Delhi and Brussels Finals will receive mentoring and coaching prior to entering the competition at Rice in an intense 3-day boot camp hosted by the TiE Houston Chapter and a spot at Rice University competition in front of 250 judges for a total of $1.5 million in prizes in April 2014. Participants of all competition levels (local, regional, global) got the opportunity to meet and network with VC investors and successful entrepreneurs who served as judges for the competition.
